Battle Born Offroad Club is developing a community-driven stewardship initiative focused on protecting and restoring Bureau of Land Management (BLM) public lands in the Fernley region through organized cleanup, trail maintenance, and responsible recreation education. In partnership with Lyon County Juvenile Probation, Fernley High School's community service and outdoor education credit programs, and local volunteers, this initiative creates meaningful opportunities for youth and community members to actively participate in hands-on public land stewardship. By combining environmental restoration with mentorship, accountability, and service-based learning, the program addresses illegal dumping, trail degradation, and public land impacts while fostering long-term conservation ethics, community pride, and responsible recreation practices.
