K9 Vesting Program

We love supporting our local Law Enforcement by protecting the pups that protect us! We started our K9 Vesting Program in 2023, and have proudly vested 17 local K9s through this program.

Meet Our K9s!

K9 Proton is a positive force for the Carson City Sheriff's Office! Proton was the first K9 we vested in August of 2023. Proton was born in 2022 and is a Belgian Malinois, trained in Drug Detection, Tracking, and Apprehension. Proton was vested by us in August 2023.

Carson City Sheriff's Office

K9 Conan is one of the newer pups to come to the Carson City SO K9 Unit. Conan was vested in July of 2024. He is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois. Conan was vested by us in July 2024.

K9 Kato is a 3 year old Dutch Shepherd. He came into the department with K9 Conan. Kato is crossed trained in multiple jobs and is one handsome pup! Kato was vested by us in September 2024.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office

Chase is a 2 year old black and tan German Shepherd. Chase is cross trained in narcotics detection and criminal apprehension. Chase was vested by us in July 2024.

Riko is a four year old German Shepherd. Riko was born in Slovakia. Riko is certified a patrol dog and as a narcotics detection dog. In his time as a police dog, Riko has found illegal narcotics and helped patrol officers take violent suspects off the streets of Douglas County. Riko was vested by us in October 2024.

Kratos is a German Shepherd mix born on May 25, 2021 in Slovakia. Kratos is a dual purpose patrol and narcotics detection K9. Kratos' biological brother, Bubba, is also in the K9 unit. Kratos was vested by us in September 2024.

Bubba is a black and tan German Shepherd Cross. He was born in Slovakia, and came to America in 2021. Bubba is cross trained in narcotics and criminal apprehension. Bubba is very social and enjoys coming to work. Bubba was given his name to pay tribute to a local family, who lost their son, and expressed his love for police dogs. Bubba was vested by us in September 2024.

Blaze has been working for 2 years with the Sheriff's Office in the Patrol Division. He is a cross trained German Shepherd Dog. He can perform patrol, narcotics, and tracking duties. He has been responsible for numerous arrests. Blaze is one of the Sheriff's Office K9's assigned to the SWAT Team. Blaze was vested in July 2024.

Yerington Police Department

K9 Joker came to the YPD in May of 2024. This handsome guy is trained in multi-disciplines. He was vested by us in July 2024.

Storey County Sheriff's Department

K9 Novo is a super friendly pup that is also a Community Relations liason. We vested Novo in June of 2024

K9 Luxx is a Malinois trained across the disciplines. We vested Luxx in October 2024.

Lyon County Sheriff's Office
